What Google Doesn't Know About Me
If Acting Didn't Work Out
I spent the majority of my young life telling anyone within earshot how I was going to be a doctor; although my decided concentration changed a bit over the years. When I was 3, I just KNEW I was going to be a 'ballerina doctor'...Mmmyep. I think it entailed pirouetting around my patients until they felt better.
When I was 8, I wanted to be a pediatrician, age 13 - a neurosurgeon, and when I was 17, I'd pretty firmly decided to be a psychologist. Then I saw Metamorphoses by Mary Zimmerman, and it changed my life.
Imagine my parent's surprise when I promptly came home and announced I was going to do theatre instead! Though it took some time (and patience) I'm happy to report that my parents have adjusted beautifully.
If I'm not Acting I'm Probably
DANCING: I'll jam to any type of music, as long as it gets me up and moving.
READING: I love "old fashioned" paper books. If I start a good book, chances are I'll hunker down until I finish it. My favorite book so far this year: Circe by Madeline Miller. Secret guilty pleasure? Young adult fiction.
HANGING WITH MY FAMILY: I have a very loving, supportive, hilarious and often ridiculous family, and any time I get to spend with them I cherish.
COOKING - OR ATTEMPTING TO: Now, let me just state that while I'm not a terrible cook, I am by no means an expert. I love reading cookbooks, learning new shortcuts for the kitchen, and making food for my friends. There's no better feeling than knowing you've created something for people to enjoy, even if it's only for a moment.
